About Our Community

Welcome to Lenox Place at Sunnyside!

Lenox Place is a town home community located in the historic Sunnyside neighborhood of Alexandria, Virginia.

The community is situated in the northern end of the city between I-395 and Route 1 at Potomac Yard and is adjacent to the Del Ray and Beverley Hills neighborhoods.

The historic Sunnyside area was originally purchased in 1870 by Charles A. Watson. The Watson family was one of Alexandria’s first African-American landowners and in 1874 the family formally subdivided the land and named it Sunnyside. The community’s streets – Elbert Avenue, Charles Avenue and Courtland Circle were named in memory of Watson family members. This has been memorialized in a plaque at the center of Sunnyside.

Today, the vibrant Lenox Place at Sunnyside community has 122 premium townhomes and offers its residents the exceptional comfort and convenience of living just minutes from:

  • Washington, DC
  • Reagan National Airport
  • Old Town Alexandria
  • The Birchmere Theatre
  • Local Parks, Recreation and Bike Trails
  • The Village At Shirlington
